Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Lung Cu – Dong Van
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang
Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Lung Cu – Dong Van (L/D)
7:30am rings the beginning of your greatest adventure in one of the most remote areas of Northern Vietnam. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Giang City to start the drive to Dong Van. On the way you will pass by Quan Ba and its legendary Fairy Bosom Hills, visit Lung Tam linen village which handcrafts linen products. Arriving to Yen Minh by noon, we will stop for a signature ethnic lunch.
Back on the bikes, we will drive to Vuong Palace, home of the H’mong King, whose architecture is influenced by three cultures: Chinese, French and Hmong. It was also used during the French colonization as a secret storage room for opium. Then we ride up to the North to see Lung Cu flag tower, this is border area between Vietnam and China also homes of Lo Lo small ethnic group.
The day will end in Dong Van Town where you will check-in to you hotel and have dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B/L)
If you are lucky to be travelling in Dong Van on a Sunday morning, do not miss out on the weekly market which gathers all the local ethnic minorities in the area and gives you the unique opportunity to walk through the crowd, witness the trade market of buffalos, cows or chickens, or be dazzled by the colourful booths of traditional ethnic clothes.
Start your engine as we will go back on the trail to Ma Pi Leng pass, a must-see destination when travelling in this area.
Two options are available:
Option 1: A 3-hour trek on this H’mong mystic pass
Option 2: A drive over the pass and stop at Nho Que river dock to have a short boat trip on the river
Then the trip continues to Meo Vac with a stop for lunch before returning to Ha Giang.
